Contents

This notice complements the privacy policy of the app you send your feedback to, which remains the main text. In short: the app is responsible for your data, Talkieback processes it for the app, never for advertising, and you can delete your feedback at any time.

1. Who this notice is for

You have sent, or are about to send, feedback (a voice or written message) with the Talkieback button of an application or website ("the app"). This notice explains what happens to that feedback.

2. Who is responsible for your data

  • The app you send your feedback to is the controller: it decides to collect feedback and what it does with it. Its name is shown in the panel, and its privacy policy is available from the "Learn more" link.
  • Talkieback is a service published by Red Brick Studio, sole proprietorship of Simon Gavelle (EI), 41 rue Jacquemars Giélée, 59800 Lille, France, SIRET 131 744 013 00015. Red Brick Studio is the app's processor: it receives, stores and passes on your feedback on the app's behalf and on its instructions, without using it for itself.
  • Red Brick Studio contact for Talkieback: contact@redbrickstudio.fr.

Talkieback does no voice recognition: the recording is used to be listened to and transcribed, never to identify you.

4. What for

On behalf of the app:

  • pass your feedback on to its team, with what helps understand it;
  • transcribe your voice automatically;
  • let the team reply to you, and let you know about the reply (in the panel, by notification or by email);
  • let you follow your feedback and the replies;
  • protect the service against abuse (sending limits, security).

The legal basis is set by the app in its privacy policy; it is usually its legitimate interest in processing the feedback you choose to send. You are not asked for consent, and you have nothing to accept to send feedback.

Your data is never used for advertising, is never sold, and is not used to train artificial intelligence models, neither by Red Brick Studio nor by its providers.

5. What is stored on your device

When you send your first feedback, a random identifier is saved in the storage of the browser or the app, to find your feedback and its replies. It is strictly necessary for the service you ask for, so it does not require consent. Talkieback sets no advertising cookie or tracker, and does no audience measurement.

6. Who receives your data

  • The app team, in its Talkieback space.
  • Red Brick Studio's providers, each for its own task only:
ProviderRoleWhere
Supabase Inc.Database and storage of recordingsData hosted in the European Union; US company
Vercel Inc.Hosting of the serviceProcessing in the European Union; US company
Deepgram Inc.Automatic voice transcriptionUnited States; audio is not kept to train its models

  • If the app asked for it, the tools it connects to Talkieback (for example its own server, or a task tracking tool). The app is then responsible for them.

7. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers are based in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, when the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

8. How long

  • Your feedback, its recordings, its transcripts and the replies: the period chosen by the app, 36 months at most, then they are deleted automatically. They are also deleted if you delete them, or if the app deletes you or leaves Talkieback.
  • Your email and your notification subscriptions: with your last feedback, or as soon as you ask to stop being notified.
  • If you unsubscribe from emails, an unreadable fingerprint of your address is kept so that the app no longer writes to you through Talkieback.
  • Technical logs: 30 days.
  • Backups: erased no later than 30 days after the data is deleted.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to object to its processing, to restrict its processing and to receive a copy of it.

  • Directly, without an account: in "My feedback" (Talkieback panel) or from the link in each email, you can stop notifications and delete your feedback, in one click.
  • For anything else, contact the app, which is the controller (its contact is in its privacy policy). If you write to Red Brick Studio, your request will be passed on to the app, and we will help it answer.
  • You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country.

10. Security

Encrypted exchanges (HTTPS), data encrypted at rest, recordings in private storage accessible only through temporary links, access limited to the app team and, for support and maintenance, to Red Brick Studio. Details are in annex II of the DPA.
